Who we are
This website is run by G&M Electrical Solutions, an electrical contractor based in West London. We are the data controller for the information described below. You can contact us at mihai_onet@yahoo.com or on 07845 762624.
What we collect and why
When you send us an enquiry
If you use the quote form on our contact page, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in, and the message you write. We use this only to reply to you, give you a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out the work. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business.
Form submissions are passed to us by a third-party form service, FormSubmit, which emails them to us. It processes your details only to deliver them to us.
When you call, email or message us
If you phone, email, or message us on WhatsApp, we keep the details you give us so we can deal with your request. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
Website analytics (only if you accept)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed and on what type of device. This uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location and browser details. It is used in aggregate to improve the website. Our legal basis is your consent. If you decline (or have not yet chosen), no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics runs in a consent-restricted mode, in which Google may still receive limited, cookie-free information about a page view, such as the page address and your browser type, but cannot recognise you across visits.
Fonts and hosting
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads. The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver the pages to you.
Cookies
The only cookies we use are Google Analytics cookies (for example _ga), and only if you press Accept on the cookie banner. We do not use advertising cookies. We store your cookie choice in your browser so we do not ask you again. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. Declining or withdrawing consent deletes the analytics cookies.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers named above (FormSubmit, Google, Vercel) so that the website and enquiry form work, and where the law requires it. Some of these providers are based outside the UK; where that happens they rely on recognised safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and, if we do work for you, for normal business, insurance and certification records. Analytics data is kept in line with the retention setting in our Google Analytics account. You can ask us to delete your enquiry details at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data we will update this page and the date at the top.
